A California woman is suing her gynecologist for allegedly burning her name into her uterus.

Ingrid Paulicivic, a 47-year-old hairdresser from Orange County, had her uterus removed as part of a hysterectomy operation in June 2009. While recovering from surgery, she noticed some burns on her legs and asked her doctor about them in a follow-up appointment.

Maybe I'm looking at this wrong but, if it was removed anyway, what's the big deal? Had he done it on an organ that was remaining in the body, I'd see the reason for being upset.
