Here is the world's first bionic Goose. The two-week old gosling was found with a broken leg, but vets did not have the heart to put it down.
Okay, what happens when he jumps in for a swim? Will he sink like a piece of steel, float lopsided? Will he rust? Can he fly south or is the limb too heavy? Will he be a lightening rod? Is he going to have one baby goose size leg and one regular size leg? Oh so many questions.
I would expect it to be a temporary measure until the bone knits enough to support the gosling. My concern was that you'd be checking the brace on a daily basis due to the little guy growing so fast.
I'm a real animal sap. Good for Betty and the kind-hearted vets.
