Inter and Roma set the pace again

advertisement

In a top of the table match, Inter came out winners 0-2 on their trip to play Fiorentina with Ibrahimovic laying on both their goals.

For Fiorentina Mutu and Ujfalusi were back from injury and Inter were without Figo and Vieira. Cesare Prandelli, the Fiorentina coach, lost his wife Manuela last Monday and there was a minute's silence before the game. Chilean Luis Jimenez scored the first in the 10th minute with a perfectly placed drive past Frey in the Fiorentina goal. Cruz scored with his right foot with seconds to go in the first half. With no further goals in the second half that left Inter a certain three points ahead at the top of Serie A.

Roma hosted Udinese who had already done well against Inter, Juve and others this season. Juan's 10th minute goal opened the scoring with the Brazillian defender putting away a ball that the keeper had parried from a Giuly strike. It took less than two minutes for Udinese to equalize through Quagliarella who took the ball on the edge of the area turned and fired into the corner of the net. Taddei, back from injury, scored the winner in the 27th minute after Udinese failed to clear. With twelve minutes to go Udinese substitute Pinzi brought down Juan and Dossena's protests led to a red card for him as well as Pinzi, leaving Udinese with nine men.

At the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, on Saturday evening, the two sides that dominated in the nineties played out a 0-0 draw. So Milan still haven't won at the San Siro this season, but amazingly are in 8th place in the table. The game had nearly everything: posts were hit, reaction saves were made, penalties were appealed for and dubious offsides were either given or not given. Only the goals were missing. Sunday morning Kaka was in Paris collecting his Ballon d'Or trophy from 'France Football' for player of 2007. He paraded it in Milan's Piazza Duomo in front of 2,000 fans and pledged to stay with Milan for many years.

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

I'm giving you a vote up, Santa. Even though I have no idea what any of this means.

:-]

PS The hat suits you. I think you should wear it year-round!
