Kazakhstan has voted in a parliamentary election portrayed by President Nursultan Nazarbayev as a boost for democracy in the oil-rich state.
He called the poll two years early in order to amend the constitution, expanding parliament and introducing proportional representation.
But the changes also remove any limit on presidential terms in office.
